Recently, the 7th Global Ultra-Broadband Fixed Forum was held in Dubai. During the forum, Wang Jinping, Marketing Director of Huawei NCE Optical Network, delivered a keynote speech and officially released Huawei’s “All-Optical Autonomous Driving Network White Paper” for the first time. It is reported that this white paper is a scenario-based solution for Huawei’s autonomous driving strategy to be implemented in the all-optical network field.
According to public information, the white paper specifies Huawei’s all-optical autonomous driving network solution and refers to the top-level architecture of the TM Forum autonomous network. On the one hand, intelligence is introduced into the all-optical network by introducing intelligence at the network element and network layer to accelerate the single-domain autonomy of the all-optical network; on the other hand, through the comprehensive opening of network service capabilities, cross-domain collaboration and business agility are realized.
According to Wisdom Bud data, as of the latest, Huawei and its affiliates have a total of 2,376 ADN patent applications in 126 countries/regions. It is worth noting that all patents in the above fields are Huawei’s invention patents. Wisdom Bud experts said, A company’s R&D strength in a certain field is often related to the number of invention patents in that field. In terms of the number of patents, the number of Huawei’s patents in this field is increasing year by year, but the proportion of its authorized patents still needs to be increased. Judging from Huawei’s patent sunburst chart, Huawei’s current patents mainly focus on technology-related fields such as terminal equipment, communication networks, reference signals, wireless communication, communication methods, data flow, and network slicing (see Figure 2 for details).
