June 17, 2020 – Suzhou Nanochip Microelectronics Co., Ltd. The NCA9555 is a 24-pin CMOS device that provides 16-bit general purpose parallel input/output (GPIO) expansion for I2C bus applications. The NCA9511 is a hot-swappable I2C bus buffer that supports insertion of I/O cards into a powered backplane without damaging the data and clock buses. The control circuit prevents the backplane side I2C line (input) from being connected to the card side I2C line (output) until a stop command or bus idle condition occurs on the backplane and there is no bus contention on the card. Once the connection is established, the device provides bidirectional buffering, keeping the backplane and card capacitances separate. During insertion, the SDA and SCL lines are precharged to 1V to minimize the current required to charge the parasitic capacitance of the device.

The NCA9545 is a quad bidirectional transfer switch controlled by the I2C bus and supports hot swapping. Serial Clock/Serial Data (SCL/SDA) upstream pairs are spread across four downstream pairs, or lanes. Depending on the contents of the programmable control registers, any individual SCn/SDn channel combination can be selected. Four interrupt inputs (INT3-INT0) are provided, each for a downstream pair. One interrupt (INT) output can be used as an AND (AND) operation of four interrupt inputs.
NCA9617: I2C and SMBus Dual Bidirectional Buffer

The NCA9617 is a dual bidirectional buffer dedicated to I2C bus and SMBus, supporting standard mode, fast mode (400kHz) and fast mode+ (1MHz). The device provides bidirectional voltage level translation (up-translation mode and down-translation mode) between low voltage (as low as 0.8V) and higher voltage (2.2V to 5.5V) in hybrid applications. During level translation, I2C and similar bus systems can be expanded without sacrificing system performance.

The NCA9306 device is a dual bidirectional I2C and SMBus voltage level translator with an enable (EN) input that enables bidirectional voltage translation from 1.2V to 5V without the use of a direction pin. This switch has a low on-state resistance (RON) and a maximum propagation delay of less than 1.5ns, allowing connections to be made with the shortest propagation delay. When EN is high, the translator switch is turned on, and the SCL1 and SDA1 I/Os are connected to the SCL2 and SDA2 I/Os, respectively, enabling bidirectional data flow between ports. When EN is low, the translator switch is closed and a high impedance state exists between the ports. In addition to voltage translation, controlling the EN pin to disconnect slower buses during fast-mode communication, the NCA9306 device can also be used to isolate a 400kHz bus from a 100kHz bus.
