MALVERN, Pa. — October 18, 2021 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced the industry’s most advanced high voltage chip resistor divider, CDMM, in a standard surface mount molded package. Vishay Techno CDMM Resistor Dividers in 4527 form factor and up to 1500 V operating voltage reduce component count, improve TC tracking performance and ratio stability, and are suitable for automotive and industrial equipment.

The recently released chip resistor divider integrates two resistors in a single molded package. One such device can replace several discrete resistors in voltage divider applications. New space-saving, AEC-Q200 qualified resistor dividers for electric vehicles, heavy industrial equipment and bus high power DC/DC converters and inverters.
CDMMs are available in resistance values from 500 kW to 50 MW, with a maximum resistance ratio of 500:1 and a tolerance of ± 0.5 %. This chip resistor divider is sulfur tolerant, RoHS compliant, halogen free, has a temperature coefficient of ±100 ppm/°C (not in the datasheet), and TCR tracking down to ±10 ppm/°C. The device complies with IEC 60664-1 with a creepage distance of 12.5 mm and a rated working voltage of 1250 V.
The CDMM family of devices is now sampling and in volume production with lead times of 12 weeks.
